About the course:
The course aims to provide general instructions on how to write a conference or journal article, a report, or a case study while avoiding common pitfalls with regards to language, structure, formatting, and overall presentation of the information. The participants are requested to keep laptops or desktop computers ready for short practice exercises.
At the end of this course, the participants should be able to:
1. Write a manuscript with proper flow of information and using internationally accepted structure (IMRAD).
2. Write and format the technical parts such as symbols, equations, and SI units in proper format.
3. Properly format figures and tables, and avoid repetition of information.
4. Use formatting, referencing, and grammar tools for better overall writing.
