Introduction to the course:
To provide understanding of the hydrogen energy systems and how these are different form conventional systems. What are the different ways of producing, storing, transporting, utilising hydrogen, which sectors it is currently being used and which are the future segments where these technologies will be used. What is the current status of the technologies, future projects and the growth path.
Broad Objectives:
At the end of this training program, the participants would be able to do the following:
They shall be able to describe:
- Basics technology and systems of hydrogen energy value chain including production, storage, transport, utilisation, safety, sensing etc.
- Basic safety protocols, standards and codes in hydrogen value chain.
- Broad issues and concerns of the different aspects of hydrogen energy value chain.
- Hydrogen Mission document of India; Mission documents, strategies, roadmaps of other countries.
- Choice of appropriate technologies for small- and large-scale hydrogen production, storage, transport.
By the end of this course participants will be able to do:
- Broad system sizing and calculations for a hydrogen storage
- Broad System sizing of hydrogen transport
- Basic Cost and techno economics of hydrogen systems
