Introduction to the course:
The course aims to provide general instructions on how to write a conference or journal article, a report, or a case study while avoiding common mistakes in terms of language, structure, formatting, and the overall presentation of the information. The course also includes sessions on how to make better the technical presentations. The participants are requested to bring their laptops for the practice exercises during the course.
At the end of this course, the participants should be able to:
- Write a manuscript with proper flow of information and using internationally accepted structure (IMRAD).
- Write and format the technical parts such as symbols, equations, and SI units in proper format.
- Properly format figures and tables, and avoid repetition of information.
- Use formatting, referencing, and grammar tools for better overall writing.
- Make better presentations and present the information more effectively.
