A meeting of experts and researchers in the field of Gas Hydrates was organised on November 21, 2019. The participants were from ONGC, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, NGRI and IIT Bombay. The objective was to have a holistic view on the status of research and development on gas hydrates in India and to identify the gaps. It was proposed to have more interactions with the active researchers and stakeholders in this area and prepare a white-paper on issues related to production of gas from gas hydrate reserves.
